To add to your image: instead of thinking of the church as teachers, farmers, architects, nurses, factory workers, lawyers who are Christian, we need to think of the church as Christians who are are sent out as teachers, farmers, architects, nurses, factory workers, lawyers. As I heard someone say recently, there's a difference between "believing" in Jesus and "following" Jesus. One can happen on your couch with the remote clutched tightly in your fist; the other can only happen in the world--where Jesus is already at work redeeming and caring for the people there.</description>
